Palmettos are one of the most common Native plants seen in the southeastern United States. It is found from the forests to beachside, and pinelands and coastal uplands. They can be found from the Carolinas to Texas and are very cold hearty
This unique shrub is used as an informal hedge, a specimen planting or as a dense barrier planting. It is food for wildlife and a food source for butterflies when in bloom.
This "PALM" although slow to very slow growing, will have a trunk, that will eventually curve upright and may attain a height of up to 15'
Palmetto can be planted in soils that are, somewhat dry, moist or seasonally wet areas and will do well most varieties of soils. It has a high drought tolerance and little or no maintenance is required once established.
These wonderful very low maintenance landscape Natives are very hard to find and a great value. Limited quantity available.
